About Inti House Bolivian Espresso Bar

We are a Bolivian family repeating the age-old practice of sharing our beloved heritage through coffee & food. β€οΈπŸ’›πŸ’š From Cochabamba- Bolivia

Located at 500 W 5th St, Winston-Salem, NC 27101, Inti House Bolivian Espresso Bar operates as a cafe serving Winston-Salem in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. The most common schedule is 8–11:30 am. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Inti House Bolivian Espresso Bar at (336) 671-1351; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, intihouse.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 5.0 out of 5 from 28 reviews, which is a strong result for a cafe in Winston-Salem and suggests consistent service.

Winston-Salem is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Winston-Salem follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

It was delightful having my first macchiato hand-made by Doug and Raisa, the proprietor-couple behind this place! It is a Downtown secret that needs to get out! Give it a try.

Our family tried multiple drinks (iskay miski, a cochalita, an americanito, and a vanilla latte) and a cuΓ±ape and everything was delicious! My daughter’s quote for her vanilla latte was β€œthis is the best vanilla latte I have ever had”. To top it off the the owners were very friendly and hospitable! Highly recommend them!

Very good coffee spot with great Bolivian beans. Had a shot of espresso and it packed a punch but was very good. Around the corner from the front desk, little hard to find but well worth it. I look forward to visiting them again soon.

Inti House Coffee was such an incredible experience. Raysa and her husband Doug are genuinely some of the kindest people you’ll meet. You can feel the care, intentionality, and heart behind everything they’re building the moment you step up tot he counter. They took time to share a little of their story with us, and it made supporting their shop feel even more meaningful. There’s something really special about seeing a couple chase impact together and create a place that feels welcoming, personal, and full of life. The coffee was amazing, but the people behind it are what make this place unforgettable. Nothing beats supporting small businesses like this. If you’re anywhere in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by Inti House Coffee. You’ll leave encouraged, caffeinated, and wanting to come back.

I’ve been coming here regularly for over a year, and it’s become my absolute favorite cafΓ© in the Triad. The coffee quality is excellent, whether you’re getting a drip coffee, flat white or one of their delicious specialty drinks (my favorite is the Cochalita Espress, with dark chocolate and spices). The baristas/owners, Raysa and Doug, are really passionate and knowledgeable about their craft, and it’s easy to see the love and care they pour (literally) into their business. That brings me to the best part about Inti House: the people and the community they’ve created. Raysa and Doug know all their customers by name and are always quick to start conversations that go deeper than the usual small talk. You might come practice your Spanish, learn about Bolivian culture, or help Doug workshop a new stand-up joke. It’s a place you always stay a little longer than you intended to, and are all the happier for it. If you’re looking for exceptional coffee and genuine connection in a warm, welcoming space, this is the place.
